- 2084 - The Art of War was written in China by Sun
Tzu 500 years before Christ. The
President declared Iran, Iraq, and Korea
our enemies, the axes of evil. We have
been at war for 16 years in Iraq, and the Middle East. The Korean war may be
won without fighting again, but, there is still a ways to go before it is
over. Iran is another matter. Iran is doing everything in its power to keep
terrorism alive in the Middle East.

---------------------------------------- 2084 - The
Art of War
-
- The “ Art of
War” was written in China by Sun Tzu 500 years before Christ. It is 13 chapters but here are the 5 main
lessons:
-
------------
(1) Know when to fight and when
not to fight. Know your enemy, know
yourself. Position yourself where you
are sure to win, prevailing over those
who have already lost.
-
------------
(2) Lie and Spy. Get good information and spread bad
information. All warfare is based on
deception.
-
--------------
(3) A military force has no
constant formation or strategy. Be
flexible, be creative, take whatever advantage or opportunity the enemy gives
you.
-
---------------
(4) A victorious army first wins
and then seeks battle, while a defeated army first battles then seeks
victory. Be on the offense before your
defense is needed.
-
------------- (5)
Win quickly. War is destructive,
disruptive, and expensive. If possible
render other armies helpless without fighting.
-
- The
President declared Iran, Iraq, and Korea
our enemies, the axes of evil. We have
been at war for 16 years in Iraq, and the Middle East. Certainly we did not follow rule (5).
-
- The Korean
war may be won without fighting again, but, there is still a ways to go before
it is over. Iran is another matter. Iran is doing everything in its power to keep
terrorism alive in the Middle East.
-
- Their goal is still to remove everyone that is
not Islam from the Middle East, Northern Africa, and Southern Europe, returning
the entire area to 700 A.D. Iran is
seeking the weapons of greatest power.
It is using rule (2) until it can obtain the weapons of mass destruction
with which their power cannot be challenged.
-
- (30,000
B.C.) The use of weapons to obtain power
in the Middle East started 32,000 years ago when tribes were using spears and
bow and arrows.
-
- ( 8000 B.C., 23.000 years later) The barriers of defense against spears and
arrows were stone walls, the Jericho walls in Babylon were 100 feet tall.
-
- (4000 B.C.
4,000 years later) The chariot was
invented. The driver controlled the
horses and the archer could take a steady aim with the bow and arrow. Shooting from horseback was not nearly as
accurate.
-
- (1500
B.C. 3,500 years later) Swords were made of bronze and were short and
dull. They were soon made of iron and
were long and sharp.
-
- (490 B.C. 1,000 years later) The Battle of Marathon ( The Last 300)
Athenians battled Persians with locked shields thrusting spears over the shield
wall. These Greek formations defeated
Persians in battles where they were far outnumbered.
-
- (350 B.C. 140
years later) Alexander the Great and the
Macedonians improved the swords with 21 foot long pikes lined up in formations
like the Greeks.
-
- (200
B.C. 150 years later) The simple stirrup was invented that made it
extra hard to knock a warrior off his horse.
-
- ( 53
B.C. 147 years later) A mobile Calvary
of Parathions defeated a Roman infantry of 40,000 men in Mesopotamia proving
the strength of mobility against infantry.
-
- (70 A.D. 123 years later) The Romans took Jerusalem using catapults
that could throw 50 pound rocks more than 400 yards.
-
- (378
A.D. 300 years later) Mounted Germanic warriors defeated the Roman
infantry in Bulgaria.
-
- (678
A.D. 300 years later) The Greeks invented “Greek Fire” a sticky,
burning liquid used primarily in naval combat.
-
- (1300
A.D. 622 years later) Crossbows were used to penetrate armor of
chain mail. Plate armor became part of
the European knights uniform.
-
- (1400
A.D. 100 years later) The long bow helped the English defeat
cavalries in the Hundred Years’ War.
-
- (1453
A.D. Gunpowder comes from China. Cannons the Turks used against the walls of
Constantinople weighed 19 tons and fired 800 pound cannon balls. The French put cannons on wheels . The English put cannons on ships. The Germans invented the mini-cannon to
replace the crossbows.
-
- (1700 A.D.
247 years later) The flintlock musket
joins the bayonet in the infantry arsenal.
-
- (1776 A.D. 76
years later) The American Turtle
becomes the first submarine used in battle.
-
- (1862
A.D. 86 years later) Ships have steel hulls and gun turrets for
battle.
-
- (1903 A.D. 41
years later) The airplane becomes a war
machine. Aircraft carriers replace
battleships at sea.
-
- (1917
A.D. 14 years later) The British introduce the armored tanks on
the front lines against the Germans.
-
- (1944
A.D. 27 years later) The Germans hurl V-2 rockets on to the
British island. Range 200 miles, speed 6
times faster than an airplane. Missiles
become the new way to war power.
-
- (1945
A.D. 1 year later) The atomic bombs kill 110,000 Japanese and
force Japan’s surrender. This one bomb
carried more destructive power than all the war power before it.
-
- (1952
A.D. 7 years later) The hydrogen bomb produced megatons of
destructive power. Even decades after
its enormous destruction from the blast the cancers, mutations from radiation
and genetic abnormalities continue to kill and maim.
-
- (2008
A.D. 56 years later) Iran in enriching Uranium-235 and producing
or purchasing Plutonium-239 so it too can posses the weapon of mass
destruction. The ultimate power in
warfare and intimidation. A 200 pound
nuclear weapon can be carried in a suitcase and delivered anywhere in the
world.
-
- 2500 year old
advice: Know your enemy and position
yourself to win, hopefully without even fighting. The weapons have become too massive in their
destructive power. Life on Earth cannot
afford to use them.
-
- 2018 A.D. in
this very land was the introduction of Christian morality. Morality can only come from education because
genetics can produce people of either behavior.
Can the Middle East learn morality fast enough to prevent the overrun of
evil? Can black gold be replaced with
new technology fast enough to prevent money from being the root of all
evil? Peace in the Middle East with
education as the weapon of choice.
